an athlete photographer's blog

PackPackLowepro Photo Sport 200 AW pack– I’m a low tech kind of girl, but I wanted to protect my camera while I run.  Lowepro makes this pack for the Athlete photographer.  It even has a spot for a water bladder.  And if I ever get a tripod or bigger lens, there is room for that too.  What I love about this pack is that it is light weight and has a side access point for the camera.  This means I don’t have to take my pack completely off every time I want to take a picture.  See my full review here.

cameraCameraCanon T3i Rebel – This is my baby.  My dad bought me this camera and I love it.  I think it is a great SLR for a beginner.  I’ve graduated from the Auto settings, but I’m still learning about exposure, aperture, ISO and the ins and outs of the camera and the art of photography in general.

Lens18-55mm – This is the only lens I have and I think its great for everyday use.  I’m currently researching a telephoto lens.

GPS – I use the MapMyRun app.  The pack makes it really easy to carry extra stuff that I use to avoid, like my phone.

shoesShoes – I love my Mizunos.  I used to be a Brooks girl and before that Saucony girl.  Once I find a shoe that works, I usually stick with it.  I have a wide toe box and narrow heel so sometimes I have a hard time finding shoes.
