2015 Outlook:

I have a tendency to do too much, too fast.  I wasn’t able to run much 2014 and I ended up with a minor injury at the end of the year.  I’ve outlined my goals for the year so that I can still look forward to some races but also be realistic about my recovery.  I wanted to do a Half this year, but I decided I would rather train for one in 2016 when, hopefully, my legs are stronger.

January – December:  Slowly build back up my running base.  Increasing mileage at a slow rate in order to prevent injury.  Continue to strength train for balanced muscle groups and overall health and wellness.

April – May:  Run a 5K or two.

May 23, 2015 – 5K – Bill Snyder 5K – 24:41 1st place in age group

June – Aug:  Train for a longer distance.  Hopefully a 10k or 15K.

October – November: Race 10K or 15K.

December- 2016: Continue to increase mileage towards a 2016 Half Marathon.
